about
I have always had an interest in music from other places..I remember as a young kid, getting some money for my birthday and buying a tape called, "Sounds Of Africa".
It was one of those weird low budget recordings that are often in some bin in the corner, kinda like the discount rack at a clothing store..sometimes there are jems in there. Anyway, this tape was so different than anything i'd heard before, almost field recording in it's quality. The music was so deep and heavy, it blew my mind and planted the seed for further explorations in African music. I've always loved the joyous sound of the syncopated high life guitar style, such a celebration. This is my feeble attempt at emulating some of the masters.
